大凡對藝術市場稍有注意的人都知道, 近幾年來中國藝術市場異常熱鬧, 交易景象一片火紅。到底中國的藝術市場有多紅呢? 在中國境內擁有廣大讀者群的《三聯生活周刊》曾在2006年做過一個專題報導, 報導中指出,中國各地拍賣行業協會的交易統計顯示：2001年全中國藝術品成交額為6.36億人民幣；2002年為11.39億人民幣；2003年為35.00億人民幣；2004年為59.90億人民幣；2005年為134.08億人民幣。在2005年裡，全國五大拍賣油畫的公司就推出了九個油畫拍賣專場，成交油畫作品1260件，成交總額達5.52億人民幣。

Speaker's Profile 主講人簡介

Abby Chen 陳暢
An immigrant from China since 1997, Abby stumbled into photography by acquiring her first camera. It was an opportunity that did not exist while growing up in the impoverished and male dominated areas of China. Her experience, although somewhat similar to her peer photographers, is disparate from most due to the significant barriers and boundaries she has faced as a Chinese, woman photographer. By taking a more active role in mainstream activities, Abby intends to provide popular culture with greater visibility of emerging, Asian artists and their many difficulties of adjusting to a new land with new demands.
